What we corrected on September 24, 2026

JUL 2026 · KEFALONIA

On September 24, 2026 we went through every guide on this site with one question: does this sentence report what we did, or tell someone what to do? The site's promise is that its claims can be checked, and an instruction cannot be checked against anything. This note records what changed, so the old wording does not simply disappear.

The largest correction was Kefalonia. For two months the island's pages said a car was genuinely necessary and told readers to book an automatic early. On the July 2026 stay we did without one: taxis for all five nights, long rides on winding roads, fares that add up. The getting-around page now says that, and so does the Ask panel.

The second was a class of pages rather than one. Several planning, gear and Athens Riviera guides had been written from our plan for the 2026 trip — the itinerary and packing notes we made in June — and read as though the plan had happened. Some of it had not: there was no eight o'clock Acropolis slot, no eSIM, and no visit to Mystras, whose upper gate one page described. Those guides now report what the record holds — the rental car and the deposit held against it, the crossings we made in 2013, 2024 and 2025, the cameras we carried — keep the public rules with the date we read them, and say plainly where the record is empty.

Three pages came down. Two planning guides, on booking archaeological-site tickets and on staying connected, had almost nothing behind them once they reported only the record, and the page on Poros with children had no visit with children behind it. Their addresses now forward to the pages above them.

The AI transparency page changed as well. It said the site kept no reader data and sent none to an AI model; the Ask panel does both, and the page now says what it sends, where it goes, and that the conversations are kept.

None of this changes a figure. The receipts, the room totals and the card charges were right before that day and are unchanged after it. What changed is every sentence that had quietly stopped being a report.
