How We Use AI

The Ask Panel

The Ask panel is an AI. It answers only from what this site publishes: what we did and paid, with the date and place attached. It does not recommend hotels, restaurants, routes or a number of days, and nothing it says is travel, legal or medical advice. Where the record holds nothing, it says so. For an emergency in Greece, call 112.

Data Governance

Reading this site involves no AI. The Ask panel does: what you type into it is sent, with the address of the page you asked from and a session identifier, through our own server to an AI model running on Amazon Bedrock. Your IP address and browser details are not passed along. The conversation is kept, with no set deletion date, and read, by us and by an AI summary, to see what readers ask and where the record falls short. Amazon Bedrock does not use prompts or answers to train models.

All third-party AI integrations operate under data processing agreements that prohibit model training on our data. Our bot handshake protocol ensures that automated crawlers and AI agents can identify our content governance policies.

Content Disclosure

• Drafting:AI-assisted. Prose is drafted with AI tools and edited by the author.
• Facts and prices:100% firsthand. Every figure is dated, located, and taken from the author's own receipts and records — never generated, never averaged from the internet.
• Verification:Every claim is reviewed by the author before publication. Pages that cannot meet the dated-and-located standard do not publish.
