What we can say is what those days held: the town on foot, the waterfront, the climb to the clock tower, and the crossing to Galatas on the local boat.
The island's size is a fact rather than a verdict. The town is small enough that we covered it on foot without a car, and the fast boat from Piraeus is timetabled at about an hour, which is what makes a day trip from Athens possible on paper. We did not do one, so we cannot say how that day goes.
