What Tinos costs

This page has no figures on it, and the reason is worth stating plainly rather than hiding behind a thin paragraph of generalities.

Our Tinos evening was July 2024. This site's price log began in 2025, so nothing from that visit was recorded at the time — not a crossing, not a coffee, not a candle. We have nine photographs and a timestamp range, and photographs are evidence of a place rather than evidence of a price. Two years later, any number either of us produced would be a recollection dressed as a receipt, and this site was built specifically to not do that.

It would be easy to fill the gap. Ferry fares are published, and an average taverna figure could be lifted from anywhere and set in a confident sentence. That is precisely the move this page refuses: a researched number carries no more weight for having been placed next to our own photographs, and putting it here would quietly borrow the credibility that the dated figures elsewhere on this site actually earned.

So the honest position is the empty one. What we can tell you about Tinos is what the church is like, because we stood in it. What a day there costs is not something we know, and the difference between those two is the whole standard.

The Greece-wide record holds every figure we do have, each one dated and located. Tinos joins it the next time we are on the island with the log running — and when it does, these numbers will have a date and a venue attached, like all the others.
