What Naxos costs
How expensive is Naxos?
One figure, and it is a good one. An airport taxi on Naxos was 25,00€ per taxi each way in July 2025 — quoted to us in writing by our hotel before we arrived, and paid. Beyond it we logged nothing on the island: no meal, no lounger, no entry. So this page carries a single number, with its basis stated, and does not pad around it.
There is exactly one price on this page, and it is worth explaining why it survives when nothing else from the island does.
An airport taxi on Naxos was 25,00€ per taxi, each way, in July 2025. That figure came to us in writing from the hotel at Agios Prokopios before we arrived — their own euro amount, for the run between the airport and the beach — and it is what was paid.
Most of what this site publishes is one half of that. Either a document states a price and we cannot confirm we paid it, or somebody remembers paying something and no document backs it. This one is both: a rate the operator put in writing and a payment the person who settled it confirms. It is among the better-evidenced small figures anywhere on the property, which is a slightly absurd thing to say about a taxi.
Two things it is not. It is not the cost of our transfer, because the rate is per taxi and per direction and we are not a party that fits into a single car — and we never wrote down how many cars there were. Multiplying a real number by a guessed one produces a total that appears on no document, which is precisely the move this site refuses. And it is not a fare you should expect to be quoted; it is what one hotel quoted for one route in one July.
Everything else about Naxos went unrecorded. The price log was running by July 2025 and caught nothing here — no meal, no lounger, no entry, no ferry. We are not going to reconstruct those from memory a year on, because a recollection of a price is not a price.
The rest of what we do hold is on the Greece-wide record, dated and located. Naxos joins it properly the next time we are on the island with the log running.
Common questions
Solid on both sides, which is unusual for us. The rate came in writing from the hotel — their own euro figure, for a transfer between the airport and Agios Prokopios — and it is what was paid. Most of our prices are one or the other. This one is a posted rate confirmed by the person who settled it.

We have no record either way and will not guess at it from memory. Our photograph shows people walking out over open ground at sunset; it does not show a ticket.
No logged figure exists on either side of that comparison, so this site does not answer it. Our Cyclades summers are almost entirely unlogged.
